We Have a Rat!

Yes, I said RAT. It all started about a week ago when I told Robert that I saw the biggest mouse ever on our back deck next to my flowers. He told me I was crazy and that it was probably a baby bunny or something, since he had seen some recently. So, I let it go. Then, Robert went out Friday night to start the grill and I saw him jump like 10 feet and say a few four-lettered words. I went to ask him what had happened and he said that we have a rat in our grill. YUCK!!! So, I am not crazy. I did see the biggest mouse ever, it's just a rat, not a mouse! After dinner Robert headed out to by some rat killing stuff and put it out all up under our back deck. We keep checking several times a day to see if our rat has eaten any, and he has!! We've replaced it twice now. I also go out and walk through the yard a lot to make sure our little rat hasn't died somewhere that the boys will find him. I'm really hoping he does not die under our deck- that would be soooo gross!!! But, at least our little rat has not found his way into our house- yet. Hopefully I'll be able to post that we have a dead rat soon, very soon.

Water Fun

Last Sunday I took the boys over to a friend's house to swim in his kiddie pool. They had fun, fun, fun!!! The boys absolutely love Sam, or Sammy as Patrick calls him. And, I must add that whenever we go to Sam's Club Patrick and Marshall are quite disappointed when we end up shopping and not playing with Sam! But, all the boys had a blast splashing and playing in the water. They even refrained from totally duking it out over toys- imagine that! Below are some pics from our fun day and I cannot wait to see how much fun we have when we go to Florida in just a few weeks. The Carraway boys are water babies!

Muffin Mess

Monday usually ends up being "Muffin Day" in the Carraway house!! I take the three boys and let them pick out a huge bakery muffin to eat at lunch. They love it! This past Monday after spending an hour outside in the pool they decided to come inside and finish off their muffins. I was feeling a little 'care-free' and let them eat their muffins in their diapers on the kitchen floor. However, before I knew what had happened, one of the big boys gave Graham their muffin!! He was in absolute heaven! Although, the mess that he made was far from heavenly. And, those of you who know me well know how I am about messes. I cannot stand them! I like our house to appear as if we don't actaully live in it. So, the muffin mess was somewhat stressful for me, but it also turned out to be a ton of fun, especially since the boys had such a great time. They were all worn out after "Muffin Day" and swimming and were actually ready to put their clothes back on and take a nap, or a "rest" as I like to call it. I get a better response when I refer to naps as "rests." I don't know why, but it works!

Butterfly Show at Krohn Conservatory

On Saturday we went to see the Butterfly Show with Patrick's class at school. The boys had a blast, especially since Patrick and Marshall are really interested in caterpillars and butterflies these days. Graham just kind of looked around, a little upset that he couldn't get down! The show is set up so that you walk through a big outdoor landscape that has nets and screens, so you are actually in there with all the butterflies. They fly around you and Patrick was even lucky enough to have one land on him! On the way home Patrick kept asking us if we had fun. He always asks if I had fun whenever we go somewhere, even if it's just the grocery store. He says, "Momma, you have fun? Marshy have fun? Grammy have fun?" It's pretty funny. He ends by saying, "I had fun, fun, fun, Momma!!" He even has fun when we go to run errands and they all three totally misbehave and we have to leave the store! And, I will admit that I do lie. I tell him I had fun even if it really was a miserable trip! But, below are a bunch of pics from our outing. Enjoy :)

9 Month Post

Graham is now 9 months old!!!! Wow. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing our little Grammy home. But, is has been a fun nine months. His official first word is "uh-oh" and he will also say, "no,no,no" whenever he doesn't like something. Graham is also now walking, which seems a little crazy, especially if you see him because he is so small for his age. His walking is also making his brothers a little upset. Graham can now really keep up with them and get into all of their things. Some of Graham's likes include Momma Milk (Yes, he's still nursing. I promise he will be weaned by the time he goes to college!) table food- and lots of it, chasing his brothers, playing in water, harassing the cat and carrying a bat around at all times. I've got to get a picture of this one because it's pretty funny. He loves to just carry around a Cincinnati Reds toy bat that we have. I figure he's got to "pack heat" in order to fend off his big brothers! Dislikes include being cleaned up after a meal, anything being taken away, diaper changes, getting dressed, not being held and when his Momma Milk is not at home. Graham's stats: 18lb10oz- 15 percentile, 27in- 10 percentile and head 18.5in- 85 percentile. So, he's basically a lollipop! Very short and skinny with a big, huge head!! He's definitely a Carraway. All of our boys have really big heads and are pretty small, ohterwise. Robert and I often argue over which one of us they get the fat head from. I am convinced it's Robert, eventhough my head actually measures bigger than his!! And yes, we've measured... Overall, we have a great little baby boy that is growing up too quickly, as they all do!
