50-Something and Sunny!

Yes, 50-something AND sunny!! Such a beautiful St. Patty's day here in the 'Nati. We spent hours playing outside and the boys had a blast. I enjoyed actually getting a little fresh air and sunshine, too!

The boys still LOVE their playset!! Patrick was more than happy to sit up at the top of the slide and pose for a picture. Say Cheese, Patrick!!

Marshy, Marshy, Marshy! Playing in the dirt. No surprise there, huh?!? The boys are going to be very disappointed when we put down that rubber mulch stuff under and around the playset this spring. But, it'll help break falls and since nothing is going to grow under there anyway, we might as well!

Grammy-poo!! For starters, yes, that is dirt all over his face. And, yes, he eats dirt. Why? I don't know. He also likes to get down on the ground and lap up water/mud from puddles. I try to deter this behavior but have been unsuccessful to date. But anyway, Graham can now climb up to the clubhouse and go down the slide all by himself!! However, he's still so small and light weight that when he goes down the slide he kind of becomes airborne and flies off the last foot or so. It pretty much makes my heart skip a beat, but he absolutely loves it.

Swing high, swing low...Swinging is a new favorite activity. Last summer/fall they didn't really like to use the swings or glider and we wondered if it was a waste to get them. But, they really like to swing now! Patrick and Marshall can get in the glider together and are capable of pushing and pulling to make themselves go high, but they prefer for me to push them. Patrick told me today he gets tired having to push and pull himself. Why do it myself if mommy will do it for me seems to be his motto! Marshall is now pretty good at swinging on the big kid swing and even kind of has the hang of pumping his legs to make himself go. But, he also follows Patrick motto and would much rather me push him! Graham pretty much sticks to the baby swing still but does enjoy the glider. He doesn't really understand that he has to actually hold on to it while he's swinging and has taken a few tumbles. He gets up off the ground, says "Whoa!" and climbs right back on. He's a pretty tough little guy!!

Hopefully we will continue to have many nice days like today full of sidewalk chalk, friends and playsets!! :)
